The SONOFF BASICR4 is a 10A WiFi smart switch designed to bring convenient smart control to compatible lights, fans and electrical appliances. Connect it to your 2.4GHz WiFi network and use the eWeLink platform to control connected devices remotely, create schedules and build smart-home scenes.

Magic Switch Mode

One of the key features of the BASICR4 is Magic Switch Mode. When configured correctly, the physical wall switch can be turned off without cutting power to the smart module. This allows the BASICR4 to remain online so the connected smart light can continue to be controlled through the app, voice control and automation.

Remote Control with eWeLink

The BASICR4 connects to the eWeLink smart-home platform, allowing compatible devices to be controlled remotely from your smartphone. You can conveniently switch connected loads on or off and incorporate the BASICR4 into your wider smart-home setup.

2.4GHz WiFi Connectivity

BASICR4 uses IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz WiFi for wireless communication. This provides a straightforward way to add smart functionality to compatible electrical installations without requiring a separate WiFi hub.

ESP32-C3 Smart Processing

The BASICR4 is powered by an ESP32-C3FN4 microcontroller, providing the processing platform for its WiFi connectivity, smart control and automation functions.

eWeLink-Remote Gateway

BASICR4 can also act as an eWeLink-Remote gateway for compatible sub-devices such as the SONOFF S-MATE2. This enables local two-way control and provides additional flexibility when creating smart switching installations.

Smart Scenes and Automation

Use compatible eWeLink features to create smart scenes, timers and automated routines. This allows connected devices to respond according to your preferred schedules and smart-home conditions.

Voice Control

The BASICR4 supports voice-control integration through compatible smart-home platforms, providing a convenient alternative to manually operating the connected electrical device.

Thermal Protection

Built-in thermal protection helps safeguard the device during operation. The WiFi indicator can also indicate when thermal protection is active.

BASICR4 supports a maximum input and output rating of 10A at 100–240V AC, with a maximum rated load of 2400W at 240V. Always ensure that the connected load remains within the manufacturer’s specifications.

Compact Indoor Design

The BASICR4 measures approximately 88 × 39 × 24mm and features a PC V0 enclosure. It is designed for indoor use and operates within a temperature range of -10°C to 40°C.
