The SONOFF SNZB-04P Zigbee Door & Window Sensor provides a simple and reliable way to monitor whether doors and windows are open or closed. Using Zigbee 3.0 technology, the sensor can trigger smart-home automations, lighting scenes, security alerts and smartphone notifications when an entry point changes state.

Know When a Door or Window Opens

The magnetic contact sensor detects when the transmitter and magnet move apart or come together, allowing your smart-home system to identify whether a door or window is open or closed. This makes it useful for entrances, windows, cupboards, garages and other opening points around the home.

Instant Smart Alerts

Receive app notifications when a monitored door or window is opened. The sensor can also be incorporated into compatible security scenes to trigger audible or visual alarms when unauthorised entry is detected.

Built-In Tamper Alert

The SNZB-04P includes tamper protection. If the sensor is removed or tampered with, the tamper function can trigger an intrusion alert through a compatible smart-home setup.

Automate Your Smart Home

Use the door or window status as a trigger for smart scenes. For example, opening a door at night can automatically switch on a light, while opening a garage door can trigger other compatible smart-home actions.

Door Left Open Alerts

With compatible SONOFF Zigbee gateways, the sensor can provide notifications when a door remains open longer than a configured period. This can be useful for entrances, refrigerators, garages and other areas where you want to know if something has been left open.

Local Zigbee Smart Scenes

Supported Zigbee scenes can continue operating locally even if the network connection is unavailable, provided the Zigbee devices involved remain powered. This provides a more dependable option for compatible local automations.

Works with Multiple Smart Home Platforms

The SNZB-04P can be integrated into compatible smart-home ecosystems through supported Zigbee gateways. SONOFF lists compatibility with devices such as the ZB Bridge Pro, NSPanel Pro, iHost and ZBDongle-E, while Home Assistant integration is available through compatible Zigbee hardware using ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT.

Long-Lasting Battery

The sensor is powered by a CR2477 3V coin-cell battery. SONOFF specifies more than 5 years of battery life under its stated laboratory test conditions. Actual battery life will vary depending on usage and operating conditions.

Easy Wireless Installation

No mains wiring is required. The sensor and magnetic contact can be installed on the two surfaces of a door or window using the supplied adhesive mounting method. The sensor and magnet should be aligned correctly, with an installation gap of 20mm or less when the door or window is closed.

Compact Indoor Design

The SNZB-04P has a discreet white housing designed for indoor use. The transmitter measures approximately 50.5 × 32 × 21.9mm, while the magnet measures approximately 27 × 12 × 12.4mm.

Compatible Zigbee Hubs

The SNZB-04P requires a compatible Zigbee hub or coordinator for smart-home integration. Compatible SONOFF options include the ZB Bridge, ZB Bridge Pro, NSPanel Pro, iHost, ZBDongle-P and ZBDongle-E, with selected third-party Zigbee 3.0 gateways also supported.
