Matter-Enabled Smart Home Control

The SONOFF MINIR4M is a compact Matter-enabled WiFi smart switch designed to transform conventional lights and compatible electrical devices into smart devices. With Matter support, it can integrate with major smart-home ecosystems including Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Samsung SmartThings.

Ultra-Compact MINI Extreme Design

Measuring just 39.5 × 33 × 16.8mm, the MINIR4M is designed to fit into tight spaces inside suitable electrical mounting boxes. Its compact design makes it ideal for retrofitting existing switches while retaining the original wall-switch functionality.

10A Smart Switching

The MINIR4M supports a 100–240V AC supply and is rated up to 10A. It can be used to add smart control to compatible lighting and electrical devices without replacing the connected appliance itself.

Matter Compatibility

Matter allows the MINIR4M to communicate with compatible smart-home ecosystems from different manufacturers. This provides greater flexibility when building a multi-brand smart home and allows the switch to be managed through compatible platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings.

eWeLink and Matter Control

The MINIR4M supports two setup methods: it can be added through the eWeLink app or paired directly through a Matter-compatible smart-home application. This gives users flexibility in how they integrate the device into their smart-home environment.

Local Smart Home Control

Matter-enabled operation supports local communication within the home network, helping compatible smart-home devices communicate without relying entirely on cloud-based control. This can provide responsive operation within a compatible Matter ecosystem.

Detach Relay Mode

Detach Relay Mode separates the physical switch input from the relay state. This is particularly useful for smart lighting because the physical wall switch can be used without necessarily cutting power to the smart light, allowing the connected smart device to remain available for app and automation control.

Flexible External Switch Support

MINIR4M supports multiple external switch configurations, including momentary switches, SPDT two-way switches and latching switches. It can therefore be integrated into a variety of existing wall-switch installations.

Smart Scheduling and Scenes

Create schedules, timers and smart scenes to automate connected devices according to your daily routines. The MINIR4M can also work with compatible SONOFF sensors and other smart devices to create customised home-automation scenarios.

Voice Control

Once integrated with a compatible Matter ecosystem, the MINIR4M can be controlled through supported voice assistants. This allows compatible lights and appliances to be operated using convenient voice commands.

Suitable for Retrofitting

The compact MINIR4M is designed to upgrade existing electrical installations without requiring a complete replacement of the connected appliance. It is suitable for compatible lights, lamps, fans and other small electrical devices within its rated specifications.

Safety and Installation

The MINIR4M is rated for 100–240V AC at 50/60Hz with a maximum 10A rating. SONOFF specifies professional installation and recommends appropriate circuit protection. Electrical installation should be performed by a suitably qualified electrician and must comply with applicable local electrical regulations.
