OPTEX Xwave2 QX INFINITY 120° Wireless Outdoor Detector

The OPTEX Xwave2 QX INFINITY 120° Wireless Outdoor Detector with Microwave and Anti-Blocking is a professional outdoor security sensor designed for compatible Xwave2 systems. It combines PIR and microwave dual-technology detection with a wide 120° detection area and anti-blocking functionality, providing a versatile solution for outdoor perimeter protection.

Wide 120° Outdoor Detection

The QX INFINITY provides a 120° wide detection area with coverage up to 12 metres, making it suitable for monitoring outdoor areas around residential and commercial properties. Its wide detection pattern can help cover entrances, pathways, driveways and other areas requiring outdoor motion detection.

PIR & Microwave Dual Technology

This wireless model combines passive infrared (PIR) and microwave detection. The dual-technology approach is designed to provide more stable outdoor detection by using two sensing technologies as part of the detection process.

Anti-Blocking Protection

The QX INFINITY dual-technology model features an anti-blocking function designed to identify situations where the detector’s field of view is intentionally obstructed. This provides an additional layer of protection against attempts to interfere with the sensor’s detection area.

Wireless Xwave2 Installation

Designed for the Xwave2 platform, the wireless QXI-RDT provides flexible installation without requiring a wired connection back to the security system. This makes it suitable for expanding outdoor detection coverage in compatible installations.

Flexible Mounting Options

The QX INFINITY supports different mounting configurations. High mounting between approximately 2.2 and 2.7 metres provides a multi-level detection pattern, while low mounting between approximately 0.8 and 1.2 metres can be used for a pet-alley pattern. The anti-blocking function is not available when the detector is configured for pet-alley mode.

Intelligent Detection Technology

OPTEX’s SMDA (Super Multi-Dimensional Analysis) logic analyses detection patterns and environmental information to help distinguish genuine intrusion events from environmental factors such as vegetation movement and changing weather conditions. Double conductive shielding is also used to help reduce interference from visible light and radio-frequency interference.
