The OPTEX Xwave2 VXI Wireless Outdoor PIR with Microwave and AM is a wireless outdoor security detector designed for reliable approach and perimeter detection. Combining passive infrared and microwave detection with active anti-masking, it provides advanced outdoor motion detection for compatible Xwave2 security systems.

Dual-Technology PIR & Microwave Detection

The VXI-RDAM combines PIR and microwave technology to provide dual-technology motion detection. This makes it suitable for outdoor areas where reliable detection is required around buildings, entrances, driveways, gardens and other approach areas.

Wide 90° Detection Coverage

The detector provides a 90° detection area with coverage up to 12 metres and 16 detection zones. This allows the sensor to monitor a broad outdoor approach area while maintaining a defined detection pattern.

Active Anti-Masking Protection

The integrated active infrared anti-masking function helps detect attempts to obstruct or mask the detector. This provides an additional layer of protection for installations where maintaining reliable detection is important.

Wireless Xwave2 Integration

Designed for wireless security installations, the VXI-RDAM can be integrated with compatible Xwave2 systems. Its battery-powered configuration provides flexibility when protecting areas where traditional detector cabling may not be practical.
