Smart Two-Channel WiFi Control

The SONOFF DUALR3 is a compact two-channel WiFi smart switch designed to provide flexible control of electrical appliances, lighting and compatible motorised devices. Installed behind a compatible wall switch, it adds smart control while retaining convenient manual switching options.

Three Smart Working Modes

The DUALR3 provides three dedicated operating modes: Switch Mode, Motor Mode and Meter Mode. This allows the same device to be configured for different applications, from controlling two independent loads to operating motorised blinds or monitoring electrical consumption.

Dual-Channel Switch Mode

In Switch Mode, the DUALR3 provides two independently controlled channels. Each channel can be used to control a compatible electrical load, allowing two appliances or lighting circuits to be managed from one smart module.

Motor Mode for Blinds & Curtains

Motor Mode is designed for compatible bidirectional AC motors used in roller shutters, blinds, curtains and awnings. Through the eWeLink app, users can open, close and stop compatible motorised window coverings, including scheduling automated movements.

Built-In Power Metering

Unlike the DUALR3 Lite, the standard DUALR3 includes power metering. Each channel can independently measure electrical information including voltage, current and power consumption, helping you monitor the energy usage of connected appliances.

Meter Mode

Meter Mode is designed specifically for energy monitoring. In this mode, the connected loads remain powered while the DUALR3 focuses on measuring and monitoring electrical consumption rather than switching the relay through the app or external switch.

Real-Time Energy Monitoring

Monitor the electrical consumption of connected appliances and circuits to gain greater visibility into how much energy they use. This can be useful for household energy management and identifying higher-consumption equipment.

Overload Protection

The DUALR3 allows maximum and minimum voltage, current and power values to be configured. If a connected appliance enters an abnormal electrical condition, the device can automatically disconnect the load according to the configured protection settings.

Two-Way Wall Switch Control

The DUALR3 supports different external switch types, allowing compatible existing wall switches to continue operating the connected loads. SONOFF specifies support for switch types including rocker, momentary and SPDT configurations.

Remote Control with eWeLink

Use the eWeLink app to remotely control compatible connected devices. The DUALR3 allows you to manage connected loads from your smartphone without needing to be physically next to the wall switch.

Smart Scheduling & Timers

Create schedules and timed automation routines for connected devices. This can be useful for automatically operating lights, appliances, blinds and curtains according to a daily routine.

Smart Scenes

The DUALR3 can be incorporated into compatible smart scenes, allowing connected devices to work together as part of a broader smart-home automation system.

Voice Control

The DUALR3 supports compatible voice assistants including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing supported connected devices to be controlled using voice commands.

LAN Control

LAN control is available, providing local-control functionality within a compatible network environment.

Compact Retrofit Installation

The DUALR3 measures approximately 54 × 49 × 24 mm, allowing it to be installed behind a compatible wall switch where sufficient space and suitable electrical conditions are available.

15A Total Load Capacity

The DUALR3 supports a maximum resistive load of 10A per channel, with a combined total of 15A. The published maximum power is 2200W per channel and 3300W total.

Motor Load Support

For compatible motorised applications, the specified motor load is 10–240W with a maximum current of 1A. Motor compatibility should always be confirmed before installation.

2.4GHz WiFi Connectivity

The DUALR3 connects to 2.4GHz WiFi using IEEE 802.11 b/g/n. It uses WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK security and integrates with the SONOFF smart-home ecosystem.

Suitable for Smart Home Automation

The combination of two-channel switching, motor control and power metering makes the DUALR3 suitable for a variety of applications including smart lighting, appliances, roller shutters, blinds, curtains and energy-monitoring projects.

DUALR3 vs DUALR3 Lite

The standard DUALR3 should not be confused with the DUALR3 Lite. Both provide two-channel smart switching and Motor Mode, but the standard DUALR3 additionally provides power metering and Meter Mode.

Electrical Installation

The DUALR3 operates from 100–240V AC, 50/60Hz and requires a neutral connection. Installation of the device and connection to mains-powered circuits should be performed by a suitably qualified electrician and in accordance with applicable electrical regulations.
